Location: Pomorie town (population 15,000) is located on a narrow rock peninsula, jutting out 3.5 km into the Black sea, 20 km from Bourgas and 18 km south of Sunny Beach. The beach is 7 km long and encircles the Pomorie Bay.

Climate: Mediterranean. Average summer temperatures of between 25 - 30°C.

Travel time: Three hours flight from the UK to Sofia, 40 minute flight from Sofia to Burgas and 20 minutes drive north of Burgas.

Activities: Excellent beaches, water sports and all year round eco tourism.

Development: Around €300m has been poured into the region in both tourist infrastructure and industrial development, there is however plenty more development on the way:

Luxury 18 hole golf course in the final stages of approval with a completion date early 2007.
Several 5* hotels in progress.
€100m upgrade to Burgas airport.
UK/ German charter airlines increasing flights to the area.
Low costs airlines rumoured to be adding the city to their network with the new 2005 EU open skies agreement.
